Hardadt (16 bit audit utility) locks up during automatic audit
Document ID : 000-000052 Created: 2/03/1998 Last changed on: 2/20/2001
1- Check that there are no temporary files left on the drive. A few temp files left behind is OK but many, many temp files (hundreds) can make the 16 bit audit utilities fail. Delete the temp files in your NetKeeper directory. Temp files have the TMP extension or start with "$$$".
2-Use the CFIL and CSRT utilities to check that there are no locked records or damaged files.
Major file server problems can damage files. Use the CFIL or CSRT utilities to recover the data files. While you can usulally recover the data, you will need to restore from backups if data was lost during the file server crash.
