NetKeeper Express or Configuration Manager will display "AT TYPE NOT ON FILE" if a motherboard is not recognized. To recognize the motherboard you will need to "teach" NetKeeper to recognize the PC motherboard.
To teach NetKeeper how to recognize a new Motherboard:
1- Start NetKeeper Express
2- Select HARDWARE from the main menu
3- Select HARDWARE INFORMATION
4- Find and highlight the PC that displays "AT TYPE NOT ON FILE"
5- Click CHANGE to display the Equipment Update screen
6- Click on the TYPE field and enter the correct designation for the PC, for example: Pentium III clone.
7- Click LEARN NEW TYPE
8- Click OK to save the new type information.
9- Click OK to close and save the Equipment Update screen.
NetKeeper will now recognize the new motherboard during the automatic audits.
Notes:
1- Use the UPDATE EQUIPMENT TYPE function to update all identical motherboards with the new type information. Select UTILITIES | UPDATE EQUIPMENT TYPE to run the UPDATE EQUIPMENT TYPE function.
2- Different brands may use the same motherboard. They will display as the same type.
3- Identical computers may use different motherboards or different motherboard versions. NetKeeper will consider them as different types.
