Clearing the NetKeeper Express (LAN inventory) data

To clear your entire LAN inventory and start fresh:

1- Backup your existing data!
2-Delete the following files:
Note: delete equip.* means "delete all files named equip". For example equip.dat, equip.mem etc.
equip.*
fininfo.*
lochist.*
maint.*
nklog.*
periph.*
sftadt.*
sftlog.*
sfwpur.*
sadtres.*
cfghdr.*
cfgelem.*
elements.*
elemtxt.*
3-Optionally delete the approved software list:
software.*
4-Optionally delete the reference software list:
sftref.*
5-Start the "Create Files NetKeeper Express 32" program (startnkw.exe)
6-Select FILE from the main menu
7-Select CREATE ALL FILES to recreate all the deleted files.

Notes:
1- If your help desk software is referencing the LAN inventory data, clearing the LAN inventory software may damage or invalidate your help desk database.

2-You can also clear the database by deleting the NetKeeper Express directory (data and programs) and re-installing the software.
