Entering the user code in NetKeeper Express

The user code determines the number maximum number of PCs that can be saved in the equipment database. Don't confuse the User Code with the Operating Code (part of your license number).

You only need to enter a user code if you own more than 100 NetKeeper Express audit licenses. Leave the User Code blank if you own 100 (or less) NetKeeper Express audit licenses.

Note: The program will display 0 users if the user code is entered incorrectly.

Steps to enter the Operating Code:

*- Exit NetKeeper Express
*- From the WIndows START | PROGRAMS menu start the "Create File NetKeeper Express 32" program. Double-click on the STARTNKW.EXE file in the NetKeeper directory to start the program from Windows Explorer.
*- Select FILE from the File Creation Program's main menu
*- Select SYSTEM FILE
*- Enter your User Code
*- Click OK to save the data
*- Close the File Creation Program

Note: Enter the User Code in both programs if you have both NetKeeper Express and NetKeeper Express 32 installed.


To verify that the User Code was entered corectly:
*- Start NetKeeper Express
*- Select HELP
*- Select ABOUT NETKEEPER EXPRESS
*- Verufy that the Maximum Users field reflects the correct number of audit licenses.
