The thin client design of NetKeeper Help Desk Captain allows operation of local executable files and remote data. This type of operation is common when there is a slow link (or a very congested link) between two sites.

Setup:
Install NetKeeper Help Desk Captain on the most used site. This is the main site. The working data will be located at the main site.

Install NetKeeper Help Desk Captain (you will need the correct number of licenses) at the peripheral site.
Login as Administrator at the peripheral site
Select UTILITIES from the main menu
Select SETUP DATA
Click the START UP PATH tab
Enter the path to the main copy in Startup Data Path. Use mapped drive notation, not UNC notation. Exampl:e m:\nk\captain\

(While UNC notation often works, it often also creates operating problems.)
