Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services to 0 for improved reliability sharing files
Document ID : 000-000505 Created: 4/27/2000 Last changed on: 4/27/2000

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
\LanmanServer\Parameters\
Value Name: CachedOpenLimit = 0

CachedOpenLimit = 1 gives you 2 copies of the file(s),1 on disk and 1 in
cache.

I have seen this being recommended as set to 1 in theTSnewsgroups and it
still causes corruption in ISAM files and since switching it to zero I have
expereinced zero problems with tps files on NT, with all variations of
workstations.
