CWIC - Installing the DLL broker on a server
Document ID : 000-000567 Created: 9/18/2000 Last changed on: 9/18/2000
The C4 ISAPI Appbroker Installer has some bugs. C5 ISAPI installer
works fine for problem #1 but I still think problem #2 exists with C5.
Problem #1 The installer does not put the \EXEC directory in the
registry so the appbroker does not know where to run the exe's from.
To solve problem #1 you must run the Appbroker web administration to
set the EXEC directory. (We had no luck hacking the registry)
Problem #2 The appbroker web administration program asks for a username
and password. It is impossible to get past this login unless the
password you gave to the Appbroker during the install is a valid
password for an administrator on the NT server. I dont know why the
manual says to use CWIC for the username and the password you created.
It will not work unless you have a valid NT user with that name and
password. We figgured this out when I changed my login password in NT
and then could no longer login to the ISAPI admin program. So make
sure you sync your CWIC password with a valid user or admin user on NT.
