Installing NetKeeper from the Internet.

NetKeeper programs can be downloaded from the internet.

There are three files:
*The NetKeeper user manuals
*The NetKeeper program files
*The Crystal Reports runtime (optional)
See the links below to download the files.

Only registered users can download the programs. Passwords are required to download and extract the files. Because the passwords change often, make sure to request the passwords on the day of the download. Older passwords may not work.

Installation instructions capsqlinstal.pdf
Program Setup manual capsqlsetup.pdf
Program Operation capsqlops.pdf

Step 1
Download the NetKeeper programs, user manuals and (optional) Crystal Reports. See the links below to download the required components.

Step 2
Virus check the downloaded files. Always virus check anything downloaded from the internet.

Step 3
Run the nkcapsqlman.exe file to install the pdf user manuals. A pdf reader (see link below) is required to read the pdf files. The capsqlinstal.pdf document contains detailed installation instructions.

Step 4
Install your MS SQL Server database or check that the MS SQL Server server is running.

Step 5
Run the nkcapsql.exe file to install the NetKeeper program.

Step 6 (Optional)
Download the Crystal Reports runtime engine

Download the Crystal Reports runtime engine. This component allows running the NetKeeper Reports but you cannot create or modify the reports. To create your own reports or to modify existing reports you need to purchase a full copy of Crystal Report writer. You can also use other report writers to create NetKeeper reports. (password required for installation)
